"Although we are not conscious of it, we can feel threatened in our built environment. Acoustic signals, visual stimuli, artificial light, air conditioning, or constant media presence can easily lead to sensory overload and constant stress. Haptic experiences have seen major decreases, often remaining limited to computer keyboards or smartphone displays.
Contemporary design must consciously counteract this technological dominance. Today, it has become essential for our health and well-being to create a balance with natural and calming elements.
Finally, we must view people as multisensory beings and create positive spaces for calming experiences. The dynamics and unpredictability of nature play a decisive role in this."
